Building the TEAM in Worship Team

Any team you ever lead will have the propensity towards dysfunction. If you add a musician-ego to that team, the dysfunction increases exponentially. But most of us are leading teams made up entirely of musicians. It's the closest thing to the Jerry Springer Show that we get in church.

Building the TEAM in Worship Team is NOT a trust-fall-touchy-feely event. It’s an assessment on how well your team functions and how they can do it better. This workshop looks first at individual personalities (using DiSC Assessment). Then at group dynamics (using The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni). And then it looks at how it all fits together. This will teach your team to fight better, love better and hold each other accountable to reaching a common objective.

"Building the TEAM in Worship Team" can be changed to "Building the TEAM in Ministry Team" and then opened up to other ministries in your church. The concepts are the same for any team - elders, youth leaders, governing board, children's ministry leaders, deaconesses (they're almost as bad as musicians...but don't tell them I said that...). So consider this event for training all your various ministry teams. And the best thing, you'll be able to tap into the Children's Ministry budget to help pay for this.
