Loving Jesus More Than Ministry

Here are some questions to ask ourselves and our team:

Do I find it easier to worship "on stage"?

Do I think more about how I'm playing or singing than how (or Who) I'm worshiping?

How often do I wonder what people in the congregation are thinking of me? Are they impressed?

Do I get jealous when someone else gets more 'stage time' than me?

When I make mistakes in a church service, how do act afterwards? Do I beat myself up? Can I let it go?

What drives me to do what I do on the worship team?

What if I felt Jesus asking me to step off the stage and put down my instrument or microphone for a month? How about 6 months? How about for the rest of my life?

schedule a workshop at your churchLoving Jesus More Than Ministry is a honest, vulnerable look at why we often love ministry and music far more than we love Jesus. This event isn't so much a session or seminar as it is an experience. We'll talk about what it means to be motivated by a love for Jesus and fueled by an intimacy with Him. We'll get real about the idols we worship instead of the One True God. Loving Jesus More Than Ministry will get your team thinking and start some conversations that will last long after the event is over.

This experience can also include other ministries in your church. The subject matter isn't exclusive to worship and music people. It can be tailored to your worship team, or broadened to include leaders and volunteers from every ministry in your church.
