This Week's

Free Worship Team Training

Helping You Make the Most of this COVID-19 Season

Why We're Offering This

To My Worship Leader Friends,

I want to serve you during this crazy season. I can't plan your streaming services or entertain your kids, but I can offer you some free training for your team.

My hope is that you and your team can use this "stay-at-home" time to grow musically, relationally, and spiritually during this time.

It's my way of saying, "I'm with you and I want to do what I can to help your worship team come out of this COVID-19 season even stronger."

Workshop Series Descriptions

Change Your Culture Series: Uncover and Craft Your Worship Ministry's Vision, Values, & Expectations

**REGISTER ONCE, ATTEND ALL THREE**

Mission, vision, purpose, policies...most of the time, these are forgotten words that live in unread documents.

Occasionally we'll plaster them on a wall somewhere.

No more of that.

During this three-part series, you're going to learn how to craft your vision and values in a way that gets remembered—and LIVED OUT.

We'll also dive into how we can create—and require—real expectations and policies.

And all of this leads to shaping the culture of your worship team.

Week 1 (April 30):
Change Your Culture, Part 1: Your Worship Ministry's North Star (Write Your Mission So It Gets Remembered)

I'm going to help you craft a memorable mission statement that actually guides your leadership and leads your team—and gets remembered!

Week 2: (May 7)
Change Your Culture, Part 2: Values That Get Remembered By Every Team Member (Write Real Values That Drive Real Change)

Team values are critical. But most of the time, they're a laundry list of good things that we feel obligated to add. How can you make your values memorable, but more importantly, actionable?

We want to live them out.

Week 3: (May 14)
Change Your Culture, Part 3: Expectations That Shape Behavior & Change Culture (Write Policies, Guidelines, & Expectations That Get Followed)

"I love crafting, communicating, and enforcing expectations, policies, and guidelines to my team." Said no worship leader. Ever.

But policies, expectations, and guidelines are critical to not only make the ministry run well, but also to shape the culture of the team. You'll learn how to create expectations that your team follows.

These workshops are FREE. But only available for a limited time.

Here's how to register:

  1. Go to this page.
  2. Complete the registration. (REGISTER ONCE, ATTEND ALL THREE)
  3. Mark your calendars for these three dates.

Five Ways To Create More Participation In Worship

Workshop Description

Original Workshop Date: Thursday, April 23

Right now, participation in worship is measured by views, likes, and comments. You can't even be sure people are singing along or listening on the other side of the camera.

So while we're only able to provide digital-only, remote worship experiences, we'll soon be back together. And hopefully, our church families will be hungry to worship in the same space.

So let's be ready for that hunger!

What can you do now to start cultivating...

  • more engagement?
  • more singing?
  • more expressive participation?

You'll learn five strategies that can help you level-up participation in your church.

And you can start using some of these strategies now in this digital-only landscape.

BONUS: We'll also be talking about specific things you can create more digital engagement during your current services—whether you're doing livestreams or watch parties of pre-recorded services.

Make Auditions Easier: Build a Better On-Ramp

Workshop Description

Original Workshop Date: Thursday, April 9

Auditions...Tryouts...Worship Team Interviews...whatever you call them, they can be rough—both for you and the applicant. Especially when someone isn't qualified and you have to tell them no.

Solution: build a better on-ramp into your qualification process. The right on-ramp...

  • Helps applicants know if they are good fit sooner in the process. Often they self-select out.
  • Helps your potential team member understand the audition process better. They'll have a much better experience.
  • Allows you to tell people NO more easily. (Yes, seriously...I'll show you how at the workshop.)

During this workshop, you learn...

  • The elements you need at the front end of your audition process.
  • How to prepare people to hear NO.
  • How to make auditions easier for both you and the applicant.
